Practice Progression Dom 7th

Suggested practice methods (certainly not limited to):

  • Play Scale or Arpeggio up one chord and down the next
  • Play Scale or Arpeggio up all chords or down all chords
  • Play guide tones
  • Improvise
  • Try playing just the rood of each chord, then move to just 3rds, 5ths, 7ths, 9ths, etc…
  • Alternate specific chord tone from one chord to another. (Play third, then 5th, then 3rd, then 5th, etc…)
  • Play specific pattern on each chord. (example: 3, 7, R, 5)
  • Just go nuts!
