So we are wrapping up our second month of existence here at Intellectual Musician, and I thought I’d just report back on some of the good things that have been happening here.

First of all, a round of applause is in order for everyone who’s been frequenting the site on a regular basis, kudos to you!

Next, we can’t forget to thank all the wonderful people who have been making so much great content here at the site. So thanks to all of our extraordinarily talented authors!

So here’s some stats:

…since launch in April 2007

  • Our community has grown!
    • Daily unique visitors have nearly quadrupled from 1100 in the month of April, to 3929 in the month of May
  • Our quantity and quality of articles and lessons has skyrocketed
    • Currently 62 lessons from over 18 different authors with 50 additional authors currently registered and working towards writing more lessons. (and these people are talented!)
  • Our web presence has increased
    • We are now finally being indexed on a daily basis by Google (a huge achievement for a new site).
    • We are listed in the dmoz directory (also unheard of for a site to be listed in such a short period of time).
    • As of today aproximately 49,075 unique pages have been linked back to our site
    • We have a small ad coming out in GuitarPlayer mag (on stands July 10th!)
    • Other great things too numerous to name…
  • Our community has become better
    • Because now you’re here!

So thanks to everyone! Keep reading, growing, sharing, communicating, and learning!

ps.
-look for a huge addition to the site (I mean HUGE) to come this July

Musically Yours,
