Ed Lozano is the founder of Rockero Media (a full-service, music editing and content production house) and the creator of Lightning Licks (a multimedia guitar instruction method and website). He is the former Managing Editor for Music Sales Corp. and former Director for Music Sales Latino. He is also an author of dozens of instructional methods, a featured magazine columnist, and editor of over 800 songbooks, instrumental methods, and matching folios. In addition, Ed has also served as the Guitar Curriculum Manager for WorkshopLive.com, a commercial music instruction website. Currently, Ed is the producer and host of "Fret Buzz," a podcast that focuses on the ever-changing world of music and media on the internet. Ed is a professional musician and has performed extensively throughout North America, South America and Europe. As a composer/arranger, he has written and produced music for film and television, and recorded hundreds of educational tracks for method books, instructional videos, and multimedia presentations. Ed earned a B.M. in Commercial Arranging/Professional Writing from Boston’s Berklee College of Music. He is also a member of NARAS and ASCAP, and has worked with Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, ACDC, Stone Temple Pilots, Tori Amos, Natalie Merchant, Deborah Gibson, and many others. Additionally, he plays bass, keyboards, and various ethnic stringed instruments (tiplé, tres, laúd, and bajo sexto); and is currently providing drum programming and MIDI sequencing for DJ Onionz and EZ Lee Dunn. Ed proudly uses and endorses Black Diamond guitar and bass strings.
