By 1995, guitarist and composer Avi Rothbard relocated in Boston Mass. after earning a scholarship at Berklee College of Music .Berklee was a great place to challenge his musical skills. until his graduation in 1998, his performing expirience included working with various outstanding musicians such as Jeremy Pelt, Andy McGhee, Andrey Hayward, Hal Crook, Avishai Cohen, Eli Degibri, Mick Goodrick, Phil Wilson, Dave Eure and Wayne Escoffery . During his stay at Berklee, Mr. Rothbard won The Jimmy Hendrix Award, Boston Jazz Society Award, Guitar Dpt. Achievement Award and The William Leavitt Award. Mr. Rothbard has been teaching at the annual Berklee Guitar Sessions and has been a member of the guitar camp faculty since the year of 2000. Since moving to New York in the summer of 99' , Avi Rothbard has led his bands in clubs such as Saint Nicks, Dizzy's Coca Cola club, Rose Hall, Lenox Lounge, Showman's, Fat Cat, Scullers, Smalls, Sweet Rhythm, Minton's Playhouse and Smoke. Mr. Rothbard also paid his side man dues with various veterans, which the most notable are Mike Ledonne, Jeremy pelt, Grant Stewart, Ali Jackson Ted Rosenthal, Carolyn Leonhart, Wayne Escoffery, Richie Cole, Warren Vach'e, Mike Clark, Vaughn Freeman and Uri Caine. Notable jazz festivals include JVC Jazz Festival. Red sea Jazz Festival (Israel), Harlem Festival , Jazz at Aspen Snow-mass, Juan Le Penn and Tel Aviv Festival to name a few.
